The product can be applied to a wet or dry lawn. It is recommended to use a Scotts® spreader for application. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, a setting of 3 ½ should be used. For Scotts® drop spreaders, a setting of 6 ½ is recommended. For Scotts® Wizz®, a setting of 3 ¾ is advised. If fast results are desired, lightly watering the product after application can be beneficial, although watering is not strictly required. Any unused product should be returned to the original container, and any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street should be swept back onto the lawn.
