This product starts working on contact, killing the root of the weeds.

The recommended application time for Scotts® Weed Control for Lawns is in the spring or early fall, when broadleaf weeds are actively growing, preferably in the morning when dew is on the grass. Scotts® recommends using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product, with a setting of 3 ¾ for Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders and a setting of 5 ¾ for Scotts® drop spreaders.

It is essential to avoid washing the product from the weed leaves for 1 to 2 days after application, and a thorough watering should be made at this time. However, this lawn care product should not be used on Dichondra, Carpetgrass, 'Floratam' St. Augustinegrass, Creeping Bentgrass, or turfgrass where desirable clovers are present.
